Penguin Race 2024

The annual kick off to the kayak season, the Penguin Race.

Don’t let the name fool you.  This is more than a fun race!  Great socializing, food and summer planning!

Events for all ages and abilities (must have a comfortable wet exit).

This year the Penguin Race will be May 5.

The race will be held on the irrigation canal at the Bow Waters Canoe Club.  The race will be a Kayak Cross race.  This exciting race will have different levels of competition for all abilities.  The canal is flat and moves very slowly.  There will be a course constructed with gates for paddlers to navigate.

Fun, food and prizes for all ages!  Don’t forget to dress up as a penguin!
