New 2009 Summer Program: Want to be the best paddler on the river? Want to travel the World racing as an amateur athlete? Perhaps you have dreams of the Olympics? Or you are simply looking for a fun physical activity and inviting social environment to keep you in top shape? If you said yes, then Slalom kayaking is for you! Check out our new sessions: Fundamentals of Slalom Technique Introduction to Whitewater Slalom for Adults PDF document listing all programs and times Instructors: Toby Roessingh will instruct June sessions. Toby is a long-time paddler and former National Team Coach. Bryce Shaw, a former Junior National Team member and excellent all-around whitewater paddler, will lead July sessions. Both are NCCP – certified. **** Please note: Participants must be Waterwerks or AWA members.

Announcements Paddle Junkies, an established, energetic group of adult paddlers in the Calgary area has joined Waterwerks to head up programming for adults. Yahoo! Together, WKC and Paddle Junkies are working to bridge the gap between beginner paddlers and intermediate paddlers and to build a community that is welcoming and supportive for those interested in swift water kayaking.
