2009 Fundamentals of Slalom Technique
These technique sessions will focus on introduction and refinement of the skills required for slalom paddling. Strategies for upstreams, offsets, and other moves will be discussed and practiced. Even if you don't intend to become a slalom racer, practicing in the gates is a terrific way to improve your paddling skills in general.
Who: Open to all paddlers, beginner to advanced
When / Where: Wednesdays, June 3, 10, 17, 24 and July 1, 8, 15, 22
5 PM for juniors (18 years old and younger) 6:30 PM for adults
Deerfoot Meadows, Calgary.

Costs: $20 per session or $120 as part of our month-long program. Waterwerks or AWA membership is required. (see below).
Bring: Water and sunscreen, and appropriate paddling gear. You must wear your life jacket. Please dress for the weather
Course cancellation and expansion: We reserve the right to cancel any program where there is insufficient interest. Participants already signed up for a canceled program will be given no less than seven days notice and will be given the choice of credit towards a future program or a full refund. We also reserve the right to run additional programs where there is extraordinary interest. Participants already signed up for an expanded program will often be given the choice as to which session to participate in.
